Swan Song

Karen Kain spent 50 years with the National Ballet of Canada as a student, ballerina, and Artistic Director. “Swan Song” presents a candid, behind-the-scenes look at Kain’s final production as she directs an updated version of Swan Lake, the classical ballet that first brought her to the world’s attention in 1971. The stressful, chaotic days of rehearsals lead to opening night and the crowning achievement of an extraordinary career in dance.
