The DocFest Board has made the difficult decision not to proceed with the November 2026 film festival and to permanently discontinue the festival due to ongoing funding challenges. ongoing funding challenges.
Thank you for submitting your films. We deeply regret that we won’t be able to share your work with our audiences. The creativity, energy, and heart of the many filmmakers whose work we’ve been honoured to screen over the years has been truly remarkable. We are profoundly grateful for the journey we’ve shared and for your commitment to documentary storytelling. Through your films, you have brought countless important stories to light.

Please note that completion of all sections and questions is mandatory for a completed submission. If something is not applicable to your specific production, please indicate n/a in your response. Please do not resubmit films that were already considered in previous festival years.
