After 14 remarkable years, Belleville Downtown DocFest is coming to the end of an incredible chapter. The Festival Board has made the difficult decision not to proceed with the November 2026 film festival and to permanently discontinue the festival due to ongoing funding challenges.

We extend our sincere THANKS to you — our wonderful audience. Because of you, we were able to share powerful stories, spark meaningful conversations, and build a community we will always treasure.

Through your attendance, engagement, and encouragement, you helped us bring countless stories and important causes to light. Belleville Downtown DocFest simply would not have existed without you.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the funders, sponsors, filmmakers, community partners, and volunteers whose support, passion, creativity, and generosity helped sustain the festival over the years and made each event so special.

It has been an honour to bring documentary storytelling to our community for the past 14 years. The memories, connections, and impact of DocFest will stay with us always.
